This week our director of sales, Ron Luchansky, is attending the Project Management Institute (PMI) Leadership Conference in Reston, VA and presenting the advantages of hosted Project Server solutions to Project Leaders within U.S. Government agencies. If you’re not familiar with PMI, the Project Management Institute is the world’s leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the project, program and portfolio management profession.
The focus of Ron’s talk is Understanding Project Management Cloud types. Today, organizations have choices when it comes to selecting a cloud-based Project and Portfolio Management solution. From shared, multi-tenant Public Clouds (like Microsoft’s Project Online solution), to dedicated Private Clouds (like Project Host’s Custom Clouds) and hybrid could solutions, understanding your options and the capabilities associated with each has a big impact on the overall success of your PPM deployment.
Ron also highlighted the status of Project Hosts’ FedRAMP authorization process for PPM, CRM and SharePoint Custom Clouds. Project Hosts is currently going through the FedRAMP control and assessment process to ensure that our Microsoft Project Server, Dynamics CRM, and SharePoint 2013 clouds are fully FedRAMP approved. Project Hosts will leverage this FISMA / NIST compliant, and “Cloud First” platform to deliver dedicated, private clouds and application environments that are specifically tuned to U.S. Government agency requirements.
